
As Production Director for The Daily from 2023-2024, I led a complete redesign of The Tufts Daily’s Media Kit, imagining it as a more strategic, visually compelling tool for outreach and revenue generation. The goal was to modernize both the format and tone of the publication’s advertising materials to better communicate value to potential advertisers—particularly those outside the university community.
For the redesign, I focused on creating clear hierarchy, brand-aligned visuals, and flexible layouts tailored for both digital and print formats. I refined typography and color systems, and embellished the written language with helpful visuals to increase the accessibility of information, and reducing the previous version’s word count. The result was a professional, user-friendly advertising kit that not only elevated the Daily’s public-facing image but also directly contributed to a significant increase in advertising revenue from non-university businesses.

Redesign of The Tufts Daily’s Media Kit
In the Fall of 2024, in collaboration with the Managing Board of The Tufts Daily, I led the design of the inaugural issue of The Tufts Daily Magazine—a new print publication launched as a semesterly special edition. My role encompassed the full development of the magazine’s visual identity, with a focus on aligning it seamlessly with the established brand language of The Tufts Daily, while also introducing a more visually expressive tone well suited to the magazine’s arts and culture-focused content.
Drawing on the visual structure of the newspaper, I developed a typographic system, grid, and layout approach that balanced familiarity with freshness. I handled all interior layout and typesetting, coordinated directly with the printing company, and oversaw pre-press, ensuring accurate color correction, paging, paper selection, and output quality. The following semester I worked with the Production Director to fold this project into her role.
The result is a polished, print-first publication that extends the Tufts Daily brand into an exciting and new editorial format.
