2025 Design Internship at The Nature Conservancy
This summer at The Nature Conservancy, I contributed to the design of a broad range of marketing collateral, from printed materials to digital animations. A key focus of my work has been interpreting and consistently applying the organization’s recent brand update across different materials, while ensuring I brought my own creativity and fresh ideas as well.
Cards
These blank folded cards were designed for TNC members. Each card pairs thoughtfully selected photography to create small but immersive environments. By layering imagery from The Nature Conservancy’s visual archive, I introduced a sense of artificial depth—reinforcing the organization’s brand aims to evoke landscape, texture, and place.
Banner Design for World Water Week Stockholm
One of the most exciting projects I’ve been able to tackle at TNC was the design of a 13 foot banner for the Nature Hub Exhibition at World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden. This exhibition is run by several international conservation organizations such as WWF, Wetlands International, and TNC. Besides design, my work for the project included prepping the final file for production and ensuring the focal image was edited to look acceptable at such a significant scale.
Stickers for Tallgrass Prairie preserve
A small set of stickers I designed for the Joseph H. Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Oklahoma. The stickers showcase snapshots and illustrations of the preserve’s significant bison herd of over 2,200 animals in distinctively fun and playful ways. They will be placed as giveaways in the preserve’s visitor center.
Annual Report Template for TNC state-level use
One of my primary projects at TNC this summer was a complete redesign of the annual report template used by state chapters. This publication serves as a key touchpoint with members, highlighting each chapter’s annual impact, financials, and selected stories. My approach focused on developing a visually engaging, modular system that could be easily customized, while remaining accessible to state-level marketing teams with varying proficiency in InDesign. The result is a flexible, user-friendly template that maintains brand integrity while supporting diverse content needs across chapters.
