Flowers of Summer and Fall: Gallery Graphics for the Museum of Fine Arts
During my internship at the MFA, I independently tackled the graphic design for Flowers of Summer and Fall, developing the complete graphical system for a show that examines floral iconography in over 30 South Asian paintings from the 15th to 19th centuries.
Working in close collaboration with the Curator of South Asian and Islamic Art, I created a typographic and visual framework inspired by the look and feel of a botanical encyclopedia. The final suite of graphics included title text, section chats, and object labels. The design strategy is intended to echo the symmetry and color sensibility of the artworks on display.
Bright, inviting colors were used to draw visitors into the gallery and guide them through the space. A consistent palette and layout provided cohesive visual rhythm throughout the exhibition.
Below is a selection of installed gallery views and exhibition graphics.

Chats for each section of the show: Jasmine, Lotus, Pride of Barbados, and Flowers and Artistic Choice
